Leasing of apartments

The ability of renters now to gain a part of ownership because of paying rent and taking care of the asset.

If one studies the situation in large cities, many of the assets have been bought by large corporates / pension funds and rented out to normal citizen in order to extract rental returns from their earnings.

As fair as it seems, mostly renters who have stayed for a long time in the apartments, knows abrupt rent increase, driving out of renters by owners are not a rare occurence. In this case because the renters could not leverage themselves to buy their own place, they are left at the receiving end many times.

In this case since the asset is placed inside a DAO it is possible for us to create a more uniform wealth distribution and time based ownership of assets. So now it should be possible for the DAO to distribute tokens to the renter of an asset tokens over time based on common agreement. These tokens will be given for various reasons:

  1. Taking good care of the asset over time, leading to asset value preservation

  2. Paying rent on time and hence gathering stay based credit points.

  3. Time value of rental. Meaning that as time of stay increases, the value of the asset increases (under normal monetary circumstances) and since the renter contributes to the asset, he gets rewarded in tokens over time.

In this way the DAO can reward rental returns to be fed back to the renter and it is a win-win for all. Because of this symbiotic relationship among renter and owner (multi), in the end these kind of rental property demands will match with owner based properties. The risk is spread among multiple people and overall ecosystem is more stable and attractive.

The exact model will be worked out later depending on location, demographics and other legal circumstances.
